These ‘One 2 One’ lessons have been put together for the modern kit player from some of the basic snare drum rudiments and their practical uses, through to more advanced kit patterns. These have all been broken down into easy steps, showing the sticking, techniques and co-ordination needed to play them. The patterns I’ve chosen are designed to adapt to all musical styles which, in turn, will help to develop your playing overall.
The single, double stroke and single paradiddle are the most commonly used rudiments on the drum kit. In this DVD we learn how to play these using the correct methods. Starting with the snare drum, we then move on to placing these around the kit.
